GLITTER CARDS/BRASS STENCIL

So EASY and so beautiful! You really need to see them in person. You need the sheets of double sided sticker paper we sell from Dreamweaver, a stencil, glitter and natural soap (yup, soap, it acts as a release agent). It does need to be a natural soap, I'm told that regular bath soap doesn't work because of all the stuff in it. We get the Hawaiian Soap from Dreamweaver and that work very nicely & smells good too. So you start by cutting the dbl sided sticky paper down to a size fractionally smaller than the stencil. I do this so that I don't get the edges glittered with the first colors of glitter applied. Next, rub the soap over the side of the stencil to be placed on the sticker paper. Now, peel off one side of the protective sheet and stick it to the your card stock, remove the other side of the protective sheet and place stencil in place, soap side to sticker. Next, pour your glitter onto the areas desired over the stencil. If using more than one color you will need to pour it off away from the areas you want to use with the other color of glitter. Once the inside of the stencil area is glittered, turn project over so stencil is face down, place on table and peel card stock away from stencil. This is so that you don't bend the stencil. The remaining area can now be glittered. You can use any contrasting color, normally we use the crystal prisma glitter. Also a fun thing is to finish it off with is White Flocking mixed with some prisma glitter. The only way to mess up this technique is to not have your stencil firmly in place on the sticker paper, the glitter will get under and the image won't be defined.
